Et Reo

Description: Every week on Monday we did  Et Reo we which is learning Maori words and stuff we had been learning about dislikes and likes we were told to make a video about us speaking what we like and what we dislike in Maori.
Big Idea: In the video Ae means yes and Kaōre means No and these are the words in Maori and Few other words.

Maths Portfolio Sample

Description: This term we have been trying to find the fastest strategy to solve a math question this week we have to do 4 Maths questions about a Rebel sports sale we had stage 6 stage 5 and stage 4 I was in stage 6 my math teacher is Troy each teacher have a a group b group and a c group I am in Troy c and we had learning partners too learning partners check your work every my learning partner is Thomas Malone and my strategy is Rounding and Convensating Rounding and Convensating is when round a number to a 0 on the end and then you take away how much you added to the number.
Big Idea: In stage 6 you have to figure out 2 strategy in stage 5 you need to figure out the best strategy and stage 4 you only need to figure out 1 strategy.

Evaluation: I think I did well on explaining the strategy next time I could use the best strategy doing questions. 
Feedback: My feedback for you is that I liked how you yoused more then one strategy insteed of you seeing over and over again
Feedforward: Next time I think you should try to make your writing a bit clearer. Thomasm

Writing Portfolio Sample

Description: Last term we had to choose our writing teacher you have to choose the teacher that you think you could improve on Troy is sentences Ebony is words and Elly is words I choose Troy because sentences was my goal to work on.

Big Idea: A complex sentence is a sentence that have a Independant pause and a dependant pause the red parts in the writing are the complex sentences.





Evaluation I think I did well on writing a good story next time I could have added in more complex sentences.

Science Portfolio Post

Description: This term we have been doing science Troy is doing food chains Ebony is doing animal adaptations and Elly is doing our digestive systems you need to choose your top 2 favourite I got put in Troy's science group we have been learning about carnivores herbivores and omnivores carnivores are meat eaters which eat the herbivores the herbivores eat plants and stuff and the omnivores eat both we have been looking about the native bush the marine system and our lunch boxes.

Big Idea: Everything relys on the sun if there is no sun there will be no food left on earth. And If we take away for example grass every grass eating animal will die and then the animal that eats those animals  will die and so on.
Evaluation: I think that I did well on explaining my food web next time In my image my drawings could be bigger so It could fill in the spaces

Reading Portfolio Sample

Description: My Goal is Comprehension every Monday we have to book ourselves to a work shop we have been learning about making connections we have been learning text to self text to text and text to world text to self is something that happened in a book that is similar to what you did text to text is book that is similar to what happened in a another book and text to world is something similar in the book that happened in like the world my goal is text to text connections.

Big Idea: In my Tic Tac Toe I have been doing read and connect about the hare and the tortoise I have to answer the questions .

Success Criteria 
1. We have been making connections in our reading.

2. I know I am getting better making connections in my reading by doing my tic tac toes in reading.

3. I am able to do text to world connections and I could improve on my text to text connections because I hardlly can make a single text to text connection.

Evaluation: I think I did well on writing my Description I think next time I shouldn't put 2 images together on Pic Collage.
